What i normally do on CNY...
On the first day , i would go to my "grandmother's sister's house"(father's side) where there , i would collect many hongpaos / angpaos. This is naturally given by those who are those who are already married. With all the ang paos ( red packets ) i collect, i would usually save the entire amount to get something which is to my liking or to fullfil my desires! During this occasion we would play cards, shall not explain explicitly on this. On the second day, i would visit my grandfather( father side ) - he would normally cook a feast for us. As usual an ang pao would also be given ( normally we only spend 1 - 3 hrs there. )
-> Chinese New Year (cny) is celebration or gathering of family members. ( All the family members gather together on this special occasion )
- most of the relatives there , i only see them once a year.
- This is a very important celebration and lets us have a family reunion.
